Dear GFD Patients and Families,
It is with heartfelt gratitude and excitement that I write to share a significant milestone not just for our family, but for this entire community, our patients and their families, who have made this practice such a meaningful part of our lives for the past 20 years.
Today, I am honored to introduce you to Dr. Abigail Scanlan, DDS, who will be stepping in to continue the care and tradition of our practice. As we entrust the practice to new ownership, we want to recognize the vital role you have played in shaping its legacy. Please join us in warmly welcoming Dr. Scanlan and her family as they begin this new chapter as stewards of this practice.
Dr. Scanlan’s journey in dentistry began right here in Wake Forest, and she has since honed her skills and passion as a family dentist in Asheville, NC. She and her husband, Jesse, are proud parents to three children, with a fourth on the way—a growing family that reflects the same values and spirit that have always been at the heart of our practice.
When Vicki and I founded this practice two decades ago, we envisioned a place where families could feel at home, where trust and relationships were the foundation of care. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of growing alongside so many of you, sharing in your milestones and building a community that feels like an extension of our own family. When we decided to transition the practice to new ownership, it was of utmost importance to us to find someone who not only shares our philosophy of personalized, family-centered care but also embodies the values that have guided us from the beginning.
In Dr. Scanlan, we have found that person. Her dedication to her patients, her commitment to family, and her warm, approachable nature make her the perfect fit to carry forward the legacy we’ve built together. Starting Monday, January 5, Dr. Scanlan will officially take the helm, supported by the same incredible team you’ve come to know and trust. She is eager to meet each of you and to continue providing the compassionate, high-quality care that has been the hallmark of our practice.
As Vicki and I step into a new chapter of our lives as empty nesters (and eventual geezers!), we do so with full confidence that your family will remain in the best of hands. Dr. Scanlan and her family are committed to not only preserving the traditions of our practice but also bringing fresh energy and ideas to ensure its continued growth and success.
We are deeply grateful for the trust, loyalty, and friendship you have shown us over the years. It has been the honor of a lifetime to care for you and your families, and we will always treasure the memories we’ve made together. As we look ahead to this new chapter, we wish you and your loved one’s health, happiness, and wellness in the year to come.
