Invisalign Express & Lite

Invisalign Lite and Express

Adults seeking an inconspicuous and fast solution to straightening their teeth, need look no further than Invisalign’s short term treatment options. Invisalign now offers several versions of their product to accommodate adult patients that seek to make minor to moderate changes to their smile or correct relapse that has occurred since being treated during their teen years. Invisalign Express and Invisalign Lite are such products that allow Dr. Galligan to treat limited orthodontic needs with a quicker and more cost effective solution. Limited orthodontic treatment with Invisalign Express or Invisalign Lite is intended to improve one’s smile without making significant changes to the back teeth and bite arrangement. Orthodontic patients seeking comprehensive changes to their smile and bite are offered traditional braces or Invisalign’s full treatment product. Free consultations are offered at Galligan Family Dentistry to provide no-obligation evaluations to discuss which treatment option is best for you.

How does Invisalign Express and Invisalign Lite work?

Adult patients, depending of the severity of their condition, wear a set of clear aligners for 3-9 months, on average. Invisalign patients progress through 5 or more aligners during treatment that are typically changed every two weeks. Aligners must be worn at least 20 hour per day and only removed when eating, drinking, brushing and flossing. With time, the patient’s teeth progressively move. Convenience factors also include appointment times and frequency, as orthodontist visits are often less frequent and range from 4-8 weeks, depending on the stage of treatment.

Invisalign Express versus Invisalign Lite

Invisalign Express Offered in 5 and 10 aligner ‘packages’, Express treatment is available to treat very minor to mild alignment concerns. Express 5 meets the desires of patients that have one to several teeth that require very small changes to create the aligned smile you’ve been wanting. Most patients seeking limited orthodontic changes, however, will require Express 10 or more aligners to improve their smile and teeth alignment. Express 10 provides orthodontic patients with more time in treatment to make more noticeable changes to their smile. Prior orthodontic treatment relapse is a common reason that adult patients choose Invisalign Express 10 treatment.

Invisalign Lite This fairly new offering by Invisalign allows even more time in treatment to allow greater changes to one’s smile, yet without needing to undergo full comprehensive treatment. Invisalign Lite includes 14 aligners and can align teeth that have one or more teeth that are moderately misaligned. This treatment modality allows patients seeking a more significant change to their smile to meet their needs without the time and cost commitment of comprehensive treatment.
