General Dentistry

What is a general dentist?

A general dentist has a four-year degree from dental school, in addition to four years of undergraduate study.    Dr. Galligan, as a general dentist, has chosen to focus on family dental care. He understands and has experience in a diverse range of dental procedures, so he cares for patients of all ages.

In addition, Dr. Galligan regularly attends continuing education to stay on top of developments in minimally invasive dentistry. He addresses each patient with a personalized approach, first assessing risk for dental disease, then minimizing potential for disease through preventive dentistry. When restorations are required, Dr. Galligan preserves healthy tissue as much as possible, which makes restorations smaller and procedures less traumatic. As a cosmetic dentist, Dr. Galligan approaches all treatment with an esthetic mindset.

At Galligan Family Dentistry, you can feel confident that your dental work will be durable, attractive, and comfortable. When a specialist could serve you better than our staff, Dr. Galligan will refer you to trusted colleagues with advanced training in specific areas of dentistry.

Dr. Galligan is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and World Congress of Minimally Invasive Dentistry.
